Here are some of the highlights of our trip:

My raspberry weiss (mmm) with dinner at theWater Street Brewery, where we sampled Scotch Egg.
It was new to both of us-a hard-boiled eggwrapped in sausage and fried.
Tuesday morning trip to the MAM
Coffee and a cookie at a pump house-turned-coffee shop. Very cool.

Breakfast: banana bread and apple cinnamon pancakes one morning,raisin bran muffins and spinach and cheese omelette the next!
On our way out of town we hit up a local favorite: Kopp's custard.Chocolate almond and mint chocolate chip custard.
Our second to last stop of the trip (wehad to hit the outlets while we were up there),

I think I speak for both of us when I say that it was a great time, and we have a newfound appreciation for the fine city of Milwaukee!

ah, the mars cheese castle. we used to stop there EVERY time we'd come home from our summer cottage when i was a kid.
